On 4th March, 2024, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi sent a message of condolence to Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud over the fire occurred in a shopping mall in Dhakaon 29th February, 2024.

Wang Yi said he was shocked and saddened by the casualties caused by the severe fire at a shopping mall in Dhaka. He expressed his deep condolences to the victims, extended his sincere sympathies to the families of the victims, and wished the injured a quick recovery.
