Embassy of China in Bangladesh Hands over Relief Supply to Amader Somoyer Pratiddhi Foundation

On December 27, 2023, the Embassy of China in Bangladesh gifted a batch of food, shoes, clothing and stationery to the Amader Somoyer Pratiddhi Foundation (ASP Foundation) to help improve the living conditions of the displaced people from Rakhine State of Myanmar settling in Bangladesh.

Mr. Song Yang, Counsellor of the Embassy, handed over the supply to Mr. Manzur Qader, Chairman of the ASP Foundation. Mr. Song noted that China is committed to facilitating Bangladesh and Myanmar to repatriate the displaced people. In the meantime, China has also provided substantial support to help the displaced people improve their living conditions. The ASP Foundation, as well as all walks of life in Bangladesh, is expected to pool efforts together to solve the issue of the displaced people at an early date.

Mr. Manzur Qader expected that the supply provided by the Chinese Embassy would effectively alleviate the plight faced by the displaced people. China's efforts to promote repatriation of the displaced people is much appreciated. The ASP Foundation will work with all relevant sectors to create an agreeable environment for repatriation.
