On December 5, 2008, at the invitation of Mr. Khatib Abdul Zahid Mukul, a famous Bangladesh entrepreneur, philanthropist and Director of Givensee Group, Chinese Ambassador H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian visited the industrial zone of Givensee Group located on the outskirts of Dhaka. As a large integrated corporation in garment export sector, Givensee Group imports from China more than eighty percent of its chemical dyestuff and equipments for weaving, printing and dyeing. During the visit, Ambassador Zheng inquired about the development of Givensee Group and communicated with the Bangladesh side on corporation managing, product developing and marketing.

     As Bangladesh parliamentary election is approaching, Ambassador Zheng reminded Chinese personnel working in the zone to be aware of safety. He also emphasized that Chinese enterprises in Bangladesh should follow local laws and regulations, avoid risks and create a harmonious environment by serving the local community and supporting public welfare undertakings within their economic capacity.

      At the end of the visit, as proposed by Bangladesh friends, Ambassador Zheng planted a tree symbolizing China-Bangladesh friendship. Mr. Tan Jielai, Administration Chief of Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh and Mr. Guan Qiushi, Mr. Wu Guangsheng and Mr. Han Jingchao, members of Chamber of Chinese Enterprise in Bangladesh, accompanied the ambassador during the visit.
