| Bangladesh China Friendship Association Held Discussion in Honor of 59th Anniversary of the Founding of China and 30th Anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-up |

On Oct. 22nd 2008 Bangladesh China Friendship Association (BCFA) held a discussion program in honor of the 59th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 30th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up. Honorable Adviser for Food and Disaster Management, H. E. Dr. AMM Shawkat Ali, Acting President of BCFA, Lieut. Gen (Retd) Mahbubur Rahman and friends from Bangladesh various professions attended the program. Chinese Ambassador, H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian was the special guest at the function. Adviser Shawkat spoke highly of China’s great achievements since its reform and opening up which sets a good example for the developing countries. Bangladesh should learn from China’s model of development and governing experience to realize its social and economic development. President Mahbubur said since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, especially since its reform and opening-up, China has made significant achievements. Bangladeshis feel happy for this, and they believe under the leadership of Chinese Communist Party, Chinese people will surely realize the nation’s reunification and rejuvenation. As the traditional friendly country, Bangladesh is willing to move forward hand in hand with China. He wished China-Bangladesh friendship would continue from generation to generation. Ambassador Zheng gave a brief introduction about China’s reform and opening up and recent achievements. He said China would continue Scientific Development Concept and strengthen the comprehensive exchange and cooperation with Bangladesh in various fields including politics, economy, culture and assistance to contribute to the realization of common development and the building of a harmonious world. |
