| Communist Party of Bangladesh (M.L) Held Discussion in Honor of the 59th Anniversary of the Founding of China and the 30th Anniversary of China's Reform and Opening-up | ||||

On Oct. 12, 2008 Communist Party of Bangladesh (M. L) held a discussion program in honor of the 59th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 30th anniversary of China’s Reform and opening-up. Over 100 Bangladesh friends from all professions and leaders from Awami League, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Jatiya Party, Communist Party, Workers Party and Jatio Samajtantrik Dal attended the program. Chinese Ambassador, H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian was the chief guest at the function.
Secretary General of Communist Party of Bangladesh (M. L), Mr. Dilip Barua said since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, especially since the reform and opening-up, historic changes have taken place in China. With growing overall national power and remarkable achievements in economy, society and improvement of people’s livelihood, China has become an influencing power in the world and set a good example for all the other developing countries. He hoped that China would share the governing experience and achievements with the rest of the world and make new contributions to world peace and development. He congratulated on China’s success of Beijing Olympics and the launch of manned spacecraft Shenzhou-7. Ambassador Zheng expressed gratitude to friends from Bangladesh all walks of life for their lasting support to China’s social and economic development. He paid high tribute to Bangladesh for its timely and selfless support to China in countering Wenchuan major earthquake. He said China would continue to advance reform and opening-up and contribute to the construction of a harmonious and prosperous world with concerted efforts from other countries including Bangladesh. The guests lauded China’s achievements on modernization, spoke highly of the success of Beijing Olympics and expressed gratitude for China’s support and help to Bangladesh social and economic development. They wished China’s continuous development, stability and prosperity and long lasting friendship between China and Bangladesh. |
