On March 12 2008, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian invited H. E. Mr. Hussain Muhammad Ershad, Bangladesh Former President, and an old friend of Chinese people to visit the Embassy in Dhaka.

    Mr. Ershad recalled the pleasant memory of his visits to China and Chinese people's friendliness and hospitality. He applauded the great achievements made by Chinese people since the adoption of the opening-up policy and expressed his readiness to make contributions to the further promotion of bilateral relations.

    Ambassador Zheng expressed gratitude for Mr. Ershad's years of commitment to the development of Sino-Bangladesh friendship.
