On 14th February 2008, at the invitation of Bangladesh Foreign Service Academy, Chinese Ambassador H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian delivered a lecture titled "To Promote Solidarity and Cooperation for the Co-construction of a Harmonious World --- China's Foreign Policy" to Bangladesh young diplomats who are to leave for China for a training program.

    Ambassador Zheng gave a holistic review of China's foreign policy with an emphasis on China's position of being a good neighbor, good friend and good partner to the neighboring countries, the construction of harmonious neighborhood and China's foreign policy in South Asia. He said that China and Bangladesh enjoy a profound friendship. China stands ready to promote the comprehensive cooperative partnership with concerted efforts from Bangladesh side to make contributions to the peace and development in South Asia and the whole world at large.

    Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Foreign Service Academy, Mr. Zafor expressed gratitude for Ambassador Zheng's lecture. He said that the Bangladesh young diplomats are looking forward to the coming visit to China. He believes that they will find the visit fruitful and with a deeper understanding of China, they will be better prepared to work for further advancement of friendly bilateral ties in the future.
