On Nov 19,Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian called on Foreign Adviser of Bangladesh interim government H. E. Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury to hand over USD 1 million emergency fund from Chinese government to Bangladesh cyclone affected victims.

      Foreign Adviser Iftekhar expressed gratitude to Chinese government's timely support, and said the donation fully proves the sincere friendship between the two countries. Bangladesh government and people will treasure up the selfless help and support from China. Under the joint efforts from all sides, Bangladesh people will surely overcome the current difficulties and soon rebuild their homelands.

      On the same day, Ambassador Zheng handed over USD 50,000 relief fund from Chinese Red Cross to Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.
