Conference in BCCEMCC to Mark 58th Founding Anniversary of the People's Republic of China

 

    On October 10th 2007 a conference was held in Bangladesh-China Cultural, Economic and Mass Communication Center (BCCEMCC) to mark the 58th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China. Deputy Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament, H. E. Mr. Akhtar Hamid Siddiqui, Chinese Ambassador, H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian and President of BCCEMCC and Bangladesh WUSHU Association, Mr. F. R. Siddiqui were present at the function.

             

    Ambassador Zheng Qingdian expressed gratitude toward BCCEMCC for holding this significant conference to celebrate the 58th founding anniversary of China. Since the founding of New China 58 years ago, particularly since the implementation of the opening-up policy 28 years ago, under the leadership of Chinese Communist Party, Chinese people have ridded themselves of poverty and backwardness and scored remarkable achievements with the spirit of unity, enterprise and innovation. China and Bangladesh enjoy a long friendship in history, and since the establishment of the diplomatic ties 32 years ago, they have been true good neighbors, partners and friends with mutual understanding, mutual respect, mutual trust and mutual support. Bangladesh-China friendship sets a good example for the cooperation between countries with different social systems in the pursuit of common development. Ambassador Zheng spoke highly of the contributions made by BCCEMCC in promoting people-to-people contact between Bangladesh and China.

    Deputy Speaker H. E. Mr. Siddiqui applauded China for its great progress made in 58 years to achieve political stability, economic progress, social harmony and people's well-being. China has provided a model of development for all developing countries. Bangladesh is thankful to Chinese government and its people for their lasting selfless assistance offered to Bangladesh. The comprehensive partnership of cooperation between Bangladesh and China will be continuously deepened and developed under the converted efforts of both countries.

    President of BCCEMCC and Bangladesh WUSHU Association, Mr. F. R. Siddiqui expressed felicitations on the 58th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China. He said that under the joint efforts of Asian and Bangladesh WUSHU Association, WUSHU has been successfully listed as a sports item in the approaching Dhaka South Asian Games which will be an impetus in developing and popularizing WUSHU in Bangladesh and South Asia at large.
