On the evening of September 30, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian and Mrs. Xu Min held National Day Reception to celebrate the 58th founding anniversary of People's Republic of China. Honorable adviser for industry of Bangladesh interim government, Mrs. Geeteara Safiya Choudhury was present as the chief guest on behalf of Bangladesh government. Over 400 guests including Bangladesh government officials, military officials, political leaders attended the reception.

          

    The arriving guests lauded China on her amazing speed of development, political stability, economic prosperity, social harmony and the rising status in international arena. They spoke highly of the concepts of Scientific Development and Harmonious World brought up by Chinese leaders. China commits itself to internal economic development and the construction of harmonious country, adheres to foreign policy of peace, development and cooperation to protect regional peace and stability and promote the building of harmonious world. China's mode of development and governing experience set a good example for the developing countries like Bangladesh. The guests wish a great success to the forthcoming 17th People's Congress of CPC, Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Shanghai 2010 World Expo and expect development and deepening of the comprehensive partnership of cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
