Delegation of China Institute of Contemporary International Relations Visiting Bangladesh

    

    From June 30 to July 5, invited by Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI), a four-member delegation from China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) led by Vice President Mr. Li Shaoxian visited Bangladesh.

 

                         

    On July 4, BEI held a conference on Sino-Bangladesh relationship chaired by President of BEI, former Foreign Secretary, former Ambassador to China, Mr. Farooq Sobhan. Director of South Asian Studies of CICIR, Mr. Hu Shisheng made a keynote speech, elaborating the history, current situation and prospects of Sino-Bangladesh relationship. Eminent members from Bangladeshi political and academic fields attended the conference and held a heated discussion over Sino-Bangladesh cooperation.

   During the visit, the delegation called on Adviser of Law and Information, Barrister Mainul Hosein, Army Chief, Gen. Moeen U Ahmed respectively. On July 3, Ambassador Zheng held a dinner party for the delegation.
