   On June 15, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei met with Editor-in-chief of UNB Mr. Enayetullah Khan.

    Vice Minister said China and Bangladesh are close and brotherly neighboring countries and the people of the two countries enjoy a profound friendship in tradition. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 32 years ago, both sides have carried out effective cooperation in a wide range of fields including politics, economy, military affairs and culture. In 2005, the two countries announced the establishment of the comprehensive partnership of cooperation. Bilateral ties are becoming increasingly mature. Consolidating and developing China-Bangladesh relationship is the unswerving guideline of the Chinese government and an important part of China's diplomatic policy of being a good neighbor and a good partner. China will further deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation with Bangladesh and make more contributions to the political stability and economic development of Bangladesh. In view of South Asia cooperation, Wu said China supports and would like to join the cooperation process of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) so as to play an active role in promoting the peace and development in South Asia. While introducing the experience of Chinese social and economic growth, Wu emphasized that China will stick to the road of stability, development and reform with proper handling of the relations of the three.

    Khan said that China and Bangladesh are both developing countries that share many similarities. The two countries understand and support each other. Bangladesh regards China as its sincere partner and China's development experience is a good reference to Bangladesh. He expressed hopes to deepen cooperation with China in all fields. UNB is willing to serve as a bridge to promote the traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
