Ladies and Gentlemen,

Assalamualaikum and Good Evening.

It gives me immense pleasure to attend the Celebration Party for the completion of the Chittagong Di-Ammonium Phosphate(DAP-1) Project. First of all, I would like to extend, on behalf of the Chinese government and in my own name, our warm congratulations to the successful implementation of this significant project.

It is popularly known that Bangladesh is pillared by agriculture with 80 percent of its population working or living on varieties of agricultural activities. Striving for the self-sufficiency of grains with adoption of the advanced science and technology serves the fundamental interest of the Bangladeshi government and its people. Employing the globally advanced DAP expertise and dual-pipe reactor techniques, the DAP-1 Project has the capacity of producing 800 metric tons of DAP fertilizer, which will efficiently relieve the fertilizer shortage, a factor hampering the development of agriculture and increase of grains output in Bangladesh. I am glad to know that the project successfully stood the operation test and received satisfactory evaluation by the proprietor. A good start equals half success. I firmly believe that the successful operation of DAP-1 Project will bring about immediate and substantial benefits for the Bangladeshi people.

As we share the delight, there should be some special thanks towards the officials and staff all involved in the project. China National Complete Plant Import & Export Corporation Ltd,. (COMPLANT), the main constructor of the project and leading engineering contractors in the profession, strictly undertook its obligations and overcame lots of  difficulties during the implementation. Their professionalism and persistent pursuit for the quality and reputation deserve our applause and appreciation. And my thanks also go to the concerned departments and staff of Bangladeshi government for their close cooperation and support.  It is right from all common attention and efforts that we could gather here for today's special ceremony. 

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The golden autumn is the season of harvest. The completion of the DAP-1 Project adds more luster to the existing good bilateral friendly relations and cooperation. During the past 31 years since the establishment of Sino-Bangladeshi diplomatic relations, the two countries and peoples have witnessed frequent high-level visits, increasingly closer economic bond and harmonious interaction in cultural and civil societies. The time-tested Sino-Bangladesh friendship has been featured as long stability, mutual confidence and assistance. Facing up the globalization drive and economic integration, our two countries have sought more economic ground and cooperation opportunities. It should be particularly mentioned that the establishment of direct air link between Dhaka and Beijing last year profoundly facilitates and intensifies bilateral communication in business, human resources and cultural realms.  I firmly believe that with the joint efforts of our two governments and two peoples, the Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation between China and Bangladesh will be solidified and boosted in the days to come.

Long live Bangldeshi-China friendship.
