Ambassador Li Jiming Attends the Special Discussion on "15th August and Its Aftermath"

Ambassador Li Jiming attended the Special Discussion on “15th August and Its Aftermath” hosted by Center for Research and Information on 22nd August, in observance of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The conference was chaired by Special Assistant to the PM Mr. Barrister Shah Ali Farhad and the Chairman of Jubo League Mr. Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash was present as the keynote speaker. Hon'ble Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, former Bangladeshi Ambassador to Italy Mr. Muhammad Zamir and Secretary of International Affairs Dr. Shammi Ahmed were also present.

Ambassador Li Jiming said, Bangabandhu is always revered in China for his contributions to planting the seed of friendship between the two nations. Along the same line of Bangabandhu, as his capable daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has proved her worth as a great leader and stateswoman by leading the unprecedented development of Bangladesh in recent years. As a reliable partner, China stands ready to move forward shoulder to shoulder with Bangladesh for the realisation of the common dreams of both the nations in the coming days.

Last year, Ambassador Li Jiming and all the diplomats of the Chinese Embassy visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and paid tributes to Bangabandhu. Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam Khan, the Curator of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum said the Chinese Embassy was the first foreign mission in Bangladesh to have visited the museum with all of its diplomats.
